A "Device" intervention means the study is testing an object or system — an implant, a monitor, a stimulator, a piece of software or an app — rather than a medicine.
Why it matters if you take part
Device studies may involve procedures, fittings, or wearing something for a period. Comparisons are sometimes made against a "sham" device that looks the same but is inactive.
